Motivation. That mythical unicorn of a feeling that you never seem to have when you need it.
Do you ever have those days when you just do not want to accomplish absolutely anything on your to-do list? Well, unfortunately, everyone has those days. (I have them all the time.) But there is a simple way to combat this lack of motivation.
Planners. Yes, I know that sounds like a boring solution to the problem. BUT I promise this has worked for me. Now you cannot just buy any planner. Boring black and white planners with nothing exciting in them are just probably not going to cut it. You need to find one that makes your day brighter and your to-do list a little bit less terrifying.
Puppies, flowers and happy thoughts are all good ways to get yourself motivated to get things done every day. Instead of just when the mythical motivation unicorn decides to grace you with its presence.
I have gone through countless planners to present you with the list below. I really hope you find something that says YOU because after all, you are going to need this motivation to build your dreams and get you through the (sometimes) boring stuff that makes your adventures possible.
This is the planner I am using this year and I LOVE it! I found it at while shopping with a friend and immediately had to have it! All of the quotes and pictures were in line with my ideas for what I wanted out of this year. I want to be happier and more productive, so this is perfect for me.
I like that the planner includes a monthly calendar and a spot for your goals every single day. Also, the size is great, it is small enough to fit in my purse (which is pretty small).
I have used Lily Pulitzer planners for years. I switched it up this year just because I wanted something small enough to fit in my purse. If that is not a consideration for you, then this is a great planner. The colors are bright and cheerful, which will always put a smile on your face. Plus, it includes a bunch of stickers. Who doesn’t love stickers?
There are small, medium and large sizes. I always found that the medium size worked well for me. Choose what size will work best for you.
If your goal this year is being more positive, then this is the best one for you. Every day you will be reminded of your goal of a more complete happiness. I have always found that reminders are always welcome.
The Panda Planner is an undated planner. My best friend uses this and loves it. I personally liked dated calendars, but I have heard so many people swear by this planner, I decided to include it for your reference.
The system is designed to make sure you are at your productive peak at all times. There are also places to help you define your goals and reminders to look back at your progress. If you want to constantly be reminded of your overall goal, then this might be the planner for you.
Okay, kittens and puppies. Their cute little faces will be motivation every day. There isn’t a ton of space for your daily planner section, but if you can make this one work you’ll be able to enjoy this adorable cuteness all year long.
This sweet planner with a soft flower pattern would always bring a smile to my face. It could help to remind me to always appreciate the little things. Sometimes when I am caught up in the moving and doing, I forget to be thankful for the small things (like delicate flowers) that make life worth living.
Not super bright and happy, but what this planner lacks in colors and cheer it makes up for in the details. The inside of this planner is amazing! If I hadn’t already bought a planner, I think I would settle on this one. Maybe next year.
If you want (or need) to plan out your day in great detail, then this is the planner for you. You can schedule things all day long, plus there is a section in the front for planning out your goals and reminding you to track your progress throughout the year.
I really hope that this list helps when looking for a planner this year. Also, you can do it! Whatever your goals are for this year, just know that you absoltuely can do accomplish them. Just put in the work, I am sure it’ll pay off!
